 The Scottish Mini Cooper Cup enters its 6th Championship Year with great support from their headline sponsors FFDR and STV Jobs. This season sees the Minis getting grids of circa 20 cars and that is a result of offering a great value championship, with a very low Series entrance fee and with the additional benefit of every round being televised. The Championship has attracted many different drivers, from complete novices to seasoned racers. Not only are the races incredibly exciting to watch and be a part of but they also fiercely competitive. Last season the Minis produced 8 different winners. This season the Minis go onto a different race format at a few of the Knockhill Rounds. They will have 3 races on 1 day with the final being a lottery reversal grid selected by the winner of race 2. The grid can be reversed from 5th place up to 8th. This is a tried and tested formula which the Minis used in race 2 last season and provided some excellent racing and overtaking. |
